In 2020, just a few days before declaring the pandemic in Mexico and locking the entire society in their homes, Disappear, an aural and visual intervention at the Old Bus Station in Guadalajara, the second largest city in the country, was presented for two weeks. The project was part of “Espacios Revelados. Changing Places”, an artistic initiative that proposed a critical reflection on the failure of modernity, mainly urban and architectural.

Through the intervention of the façade and three floors of the building, as well as a printed publication, Martínez amplified the testimonies of hundreds of people who have used and still use the station, reviewing painful historical episodes of this site and this area of the metropolis. It was also an exercise in denouncing the radical problem of kidnappings and murders that this region of the country is experiencing.

The project also made a reference to Brian Eno’s Music for Airports.
